History, Gulf Coast and an Emerging Real Estate Market
Campeche offers a different proposition from Mexico’s more established resort markets. Its historic capital, Gulf coastline, Maya heritage and lower-density character create an environment with substantial cultural and geographic identity, while much of the state remains comparatively less developed.
That is beginning to intersect with new infrastructure. Campeche’s light-rail system was developed with approximately MXN 4.2 billion of investment, the state forms part of the Tren Maya network, and new economic-development initiatives are being advanced around Seybaplaya to attract investment and strengthen regional connectivity.
For buyers and investors, Campeche is less about following an already mature market and more about understanding where future demand and development may emerge.
